ABOUT THE GROUPER CHEEKS (THE BAND)
We're a catch.. we know.
What started off in 2018 as a musical nomad playing some cover songs in the corner of a tiki bar on a Tuesday afternoon, has today erupted into a circle of over a dozen musical friends and enthusiasts who get together in all kinds of formations - playing songs we grew up with, and some originals to boot!
We pride ourselves on always bringing a surprise to our fans - whether that be our frontman Kenny Goldstone leading a Grouper Cheek duo, or bringing the entire eight+ piece band together. We like to have fun and we try to make sure you do too. Come catch a show sometime! We frequently play in Florida - from Orlando to Sarasota.
A funny sideline story is we were working towards our first band gig in March 2020 as a cover band when the pandemic suddenly suspended our first official live performance. In an unintended pivot, we starting producing original music which we love doing as much as playing live.
And unlike most bands, we include our recording engineers in our publicized line-up. We hope you enjoy checking out the bios of our members in The Grouper Cheeks circle.
